So this is my new site thingy... I hope this satisfies all you people who are continually begging me to blog... It seems as if every time I open my e-mail account I have like three requests, and then every time I leave my aol on people message me merely to say that they want to hear about my life. So, here you go

And oh yeah, just in case anyone is wondering why I switched from blogger to Xanga, there really isn't any particular reason except that I wasn't excited in upkeeping my blog and I was excited about doing this Xanga thing, if merely because I get to show off my eclectic tastes in music every time I post.

Speaking of that, Belle and Sebastion are awesome, so if any of you get a chance to listen to them do so... You won't regret it.

In other news the Highlands has been an awesome experience this year. I've become more and more of a creature that needs my space and so having a single this year has been awesome. I've begun to study by myself, and my music, and to do a lot of thinking and praying in my room. I really like being by myself, sometimes, and coming home and being able to drink coffee and read undisturbed has become one of my favorite pastimes.

Classes are also going quite well this year and as I get more and more involved in literature I realize how much I love the American writers. I know all you purists out there are blanching, but if Hillsdale has given my anything it is a fairly good understanding of the American movement, and perhaps because it has been so relatively short, I've been able to thus far cover most of the big ideas and thoughts. Perhaps that's why I like it so much...

But, be that as it may I feel a terrible desire to be finished. Don't get my wrong, I love my friends, and classes and even to a certain extent my classes. But when I get an exam back and I am marked off for comma splices, I have to think to myself what in the world is the point? I feel ready to enter into the real world, start making money, and reading on my own again. I guess these sort of desires always begin to crop up at the end of a semester, but I feel so ready right now I need something new to excite me, and a change of scenery. I guess that's one thing that Christmas break is for.

Ok, faithful readers, or reader, if you are still doggedly checking for new posts, now for a couple of daily events which show the retardation of humanity. Or maybe just one...

Today, I went out to get lunch and decided to go to the new Blimpie's that just opened up, I should have stuck with Oakley. Anyway, as I go there and look around I notice that you get free coffee with your meal. When they asked me what kind of coffee I wanted I was also encouraged to see that I could get espresso, but it all ended there *sigh* The guy asked me if I was sure I wanted "expresso" because that wasn't real coffee. It doesn't have, he told me, as much caffeine as regular coffee and it is only in ounce shots.

Unphased by his knowlege of coffee I told him I still wanted it, and he went on to insinuate that because I was drinking it I must be a caffeine light weight. ME, a lightweight. I tell you, faithful readers, I was astounded. How does one combat such a statement? I asked him whether or not he had ever tried espresso and he told me that he'd have to drink too much of it to get a full cup of coffee!!

Well, that was enough for me. I paid for my meal and left, completely at a loss, for one time in my life, as to what to say...

Hillsdale is such a strange place sometimes.

In other news, I've discovered the happiness of shout fast acting gell. I will never lose any more clothes to espresso stains... I wish though that I had known about it before I went to school and then I would have been able to save all of those stained clothes I left at home... Oh, well.

Last thing for today. Check out my website! www.tweedtoad.net. I have a lot of pictures on it and it will give some of you an idea of what is going on, who I am, etc. ok, I promise to Xanga again soon.

Spread the word about the new site.

Peace.
