| | SO since yesterday I've had about 40 visitors to my site. Who are you people, and, more importantly, why aren't you leaving comments or signing my guestbook or something?
Also, I absolutely love Eliot Smith. I'm still struck when I think about his death, but after listening to his melodramatic or just depressed music, it makes perfect sense to me that he did it. You can't live battling nothing forever, as Hemingway showed us, but at least Smith was able to impart some really fine music before passing away.
You know, I really think that dating Joy has completely given me a new prospect on life. My room has seriously been clean for like two months now, as has my car, and I'm actually beginning to prefer it that way and be able to find things while my room is clean... Isn't that strange?
Oh, yeah! I was reading different websites today and came accross this guy from Microsoft who was fired for posting a security sensitive picture to his blog. Now, I understand doing that if you are working for a factory somewhere, but if you are working for Microsoft you have to think that people are going to at least be looking at you, right? I mean come on... Microsoft has stuff eyes everywhere! Check the article out here, if interested... stupid microsoft dude
Another cool thing I found, for all you bloggers out there, is this link for a permanent link generator from the New York times. Aparently, you can use this so that if you quote a story from the New York times, you can input the link thing into this and it will generate a permanent link that won't die in a few days. Anyway, I thought it was interesting, especially since now I can save stories I want to read in class on my blog and print them that way.
And to continue the rambling texture of this e-mail there is a new program out there from microsoft which is specifically designed to save every screen shot that is ever on your comp. In case the full import of that didn't sink in, there is a program out there that will record everything you do see or say that people are actually happy about. Microsoft is SO gay. I mean, can you say security risk? Ivan thinks they must have some sort of contract with the federal government.
Ok, I'm going to find some dinner, and go to the writing center. If you guys are lucky, I might post some of the papers I get. Or perhaps I should say, if you are to be as blessed as I am *sigh* One of the papers I read last time had lots of punctuation in it, which is good, but not any real sense of how to use them. I spent like 50 minutes reading this 10 page bad boy and all I was doing was pointing out grammatical mishaps. I could never be a teacher, because I lack the patience that Samual Johnson praises. Anyway, does anyone out there in the blogging commmunity have the comma rules handy? Or a place where I can find them?
OK, that's all.
